Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

This book is about Harry Potter, a boy whose parents was killed by a evil villan. He was accepted by a school called Hogwards. this was no ordinary school, it's teachers taught magic instead of English. The staircases could move by themselves.

I always thought that the story in the book was difficult, but it turned out to be easy. The book was as interesting as the movie, but the movie script has changed a little bit. For example, the book says that the chocolate frog, a magic sweet, didn't move. But in the movie, the frog jumped around as if it was alive.

Well, there is only one word I can say about the story and the word is "EXCELLENT".

Puzzle

My father gave me the following puzzle:

One day, 3 men went to stay in a hotel. The hotel room was $30, so they paid $10 each. Later, the hotel manager found that there was a special offer and it was actually $25. He gave the bellboy $5 and told him to return the money. But the bellboy kept $2 for himself and gave $1 each to the 3 men.

The bellboy thought: Each person paid $9, total $27. Plus the $2 he kept became $29. As the 3 men first paid $30, where was the missing $1?

My Neighbour Totoro

It is about two sisters called Xiao Yue and Xiao Mei. In the time when their mother was in the hospital, they moved to a 'new' house with their father. Some people called it a ghost house. They made exciting discoveries in their house, and met Totoro. Totoro was a cute and friendly creature. One day, Xiao Mei wanted to visit her mother but she got lost. Totoro used a very special way to help the two sisters get to the hospital.

Book Review

The Land of Elyon, Book 1 - The Dark Hills Divide

The story is about a girl who lived in the Land of Elyon. In Elyon, there were a few cities, hills and forests. This girl, Alexa Daley, had the most exciting adventure in her whole entire life.

Not bad but some parts of the story I don't really know what it means. I like the part where there were a few gemstones called Jocasta which can make you talk to animals and the animals can talk to you. Interesting indeed.
